Beck from D.C. sludge-pop band The Gift has a new project (band? haven’t heard from The Gift in a while) with the painful-sounding name Hand Grenade Job. This live video of “Move Away” from Moca in Georgetown sounds like the darker side of Low, the dead-eyed stare of Angels of Light/Swans, with moody harmonized female vocals. But “Move Away” is restrained to the point of terror. Yep, that’s exactly what I want.
